Removing the (original) lens hood doesn't help and the filter is visually clean (holding the filter againts the light) besides some minor / transparent and cristal like contamination when I look through the viewer, most critically. So little that I cannot imagine this is the root cause. > > > >- Anyone of you know what this is or might be? > >- The filter / lens combination seems OK or am I wrong? > > Hans ---------Reply From: Jim <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>------------------------------------------- > You got any samples online? > > Unless that filter is very thick, and I can't think of why it would > be, you should not get vignetting. > > Perhaps you are seeing light falloff. > > > Jim Davis ----------"Hans Korremans" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote------------- Dear Jim, No samples on line, I am afraid. Don't have this luxury and envy the many good EOS sites reviewed regularly. To answer your questions; the filter is thick / thin like any filter, but I combine it with a standar UV filter from B+W; would you think this could be the cause? Light fall off is not the case as NA used was mid range with the samples under discussion.
