Well, I tried what you suggested and I couldn�t find any problem with the diaphragm.
Also, I cleaned the contacts. Anyway, next weekend I will go out and shoot a roll of 
film
testing the lens, simulating the circumstances I had when I was in the Rockies.
Hopefully I will find out anything.

Otherwise I will send the lens to the Sigma Germany service. I the past, they have
been very friendly and helpful to me.

Thanks to all who replied to my questions. I was really amazed how fast I got the
answers and all the helpful tips.
