Hi Gerard,

Of course the ST-E2 is the most compact solution. But I believe that the
most value-for-money method is to get ONE 550EX, and as many (Sigma EF 500
Super or Vivitar 880AFC) as you need/want/can afford. Beyond a certain
point it might be better to get studio lights or Alien Bees or even a
bunch of simple manual slaves like a family of Sunpak 383 Supers :-)

A 550EX master has the largest number of functions. If you use a EF 500
Super or 880AFC as the master, you lose some of the more advanced features,
especially if you use manual flash and a flash meter.
