Hi Gerard, Of course the ST-E2 is the most compact solution. But I believe that the most value-for-money method is to get ONE 550EX, and as many (Sigma EF 500 Super or Vivitar 880AFC) as you need/want/can afford. Beyond a certain point it might be better to get studio lights or Alien Bees or even a bunch of simple manual slaves like a family of Sunpak 383 Supers :-) A 550EX master has the largest number of functions. If you use a EF 500 Super or 880AFC as the master, you lose some of the more advanced features, especially if you use manual flash and a flash meter. http://eosdoc.com/manuals.asp?q=ETTLDx No flash meter? Use the one in your Type A camera: http://eosdoc.com/manuals.asp?q=FELmeter Cheers Julian Loke * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
