Hi Adam,

In such a case, you could try manual flash. I do not know if the EX-M-TTL
hack works for your Type A+ body. If it does, set your camera to M mode
and control the flash exposure with the lens aperture. (A very traditional
approach).

If EX-M-TTL does not work, you could always invest in a Sunpak 383 Super,
which offers 3 power settings for automatic exposure and 5 power levels
for manual exposure. Set a recipe exposure for your indoor shoot, and
blast away. Tweak exposure/white balance in Photoshop in post.
