Of course it is. And Photodo will of course show the difference in
numerical form. In the real world, very few shooters will ever obtain
any quantifiable difference in their final prints.

The 100-400L IS is not a tripod lens. Using it as such is just dumb.
It's a walk around hand holding miracle in a compact and relatively
inexpensive lens. This is how I use it, and I find my images very
sharp. If I handheld the 70-200 in the same situation, my images might
look slightly sharper but I really really doubt it. I know my subjects
would look 4 times smaller :-)
