I think the point really was that the camera numbering
(and retention) may be redundant, esp keeping in view
that all the other info about the file (viz. date,
size, camera etc.) is as easy and readily available as
the "tooltip" itself.
If the partial number retention works for you then it
may be the best for you (but not really neccessary).
