I put my files in folders named by date.

Each years starts a new parent folder, each month a sub parent, and
each day holds what's shot that day. My RAW files are in a 'RAW'
folder within each day's folder.

I always leave the image's 'camera' number on any file made from it.
This is the only way I can tell how to find the original RAW if I want
to reconvert it.

When I get to 9999 I'm screwed :-)
