Peter I just feel I have to set some facts straight here because many people come here to look for advice on equipment to buy. I bought Sigma based on the 'good' advice of some here and on other lists and were badly bitten. Sigma makes GREAT products - on PAPER. Their quality control STINKS and so does their service. If you have a good one - well good for you. I've said it before and I'll say it again - with Canon it only hurts once. I have the experiences to prove it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------ Thys, The only fact you are "setting straight" is that you had a bad apple. That does not mean the entire orchard contains all bad apples or the harvester is a bad grower. All it means is Thys got a bad sample. Peter on the other hand has two good ones from the same orchard.
