I've never understood the idea of carrying a second SLR on your holidays as
a....backup.
SLRs plus accessories etc are already large enough to carry around on
holidays, leave under the sun, watch the sun, have a friend keeping an eye
on it while you have a dive etc. Now buying a second SLR body to leave
back in the room in case your 'proper' slr gets stolen..... i dont
know..... it's more likely for your room to be broken in really... plus
you are not making any money from holiday snaps so why the 'backup' . Buy a
single-use Kodak film cameras from the nearest supermarket and you'll be
fine, spend more time with the people you are on holidays rather than with
your camera bag.
