While the original poster was interested in multiple EOS digital
bodies, as an amateur on a limited budget, I've been using an EOS 10D
as my primary camera, and a Canon G5 as a secondary or backup camera.
It works reasonably well in most situations, and the cameras do share a
number of accessories. Other than the limitations of the G5, however,
the main downside is that the user interfaces are different enough to
cause some confusion from time to time.
