I'm getting ready to buy a 300mm f/2.8 IS lens. Living in the UK, prices are
hugely inflated compared to the US (we normally pay in pounds what you guys pay
in dollars so that's about 1.5x the price at the moment!). I can pick up this
lens for 3300 in the UK or ship it from B&H for about 2700 including VAT and
delivery!!

I've shipped over stuff from B&H before and am happy with that, but I'm a
little confused about the warranties:

- if I buy the lens in the UK, I think I'd get a Canon 12 month waranty with
worldwide coverage except the US
- if I buy the US version of the lens from B&H, I think I'd get a Canon 12
month warranty with US coverage
- if I buy the Imported version of the lens from B&H, would I get a Canon 12
month warranty with worldwide coverage (except the US)?

Can anyone shed some light on this?? Are there any other pitfalls in shipping
this kit from the US?

Thanks
Gary
