you have to buy it assuming it will only work with your existing
body. period. Anything else is just speculation. For people who know
they will get a new camera in a few years and regularly upgrade they
may not be a wise investment. Cheaper in the beginning but no less
expensive in the long run if you have to sell it and buy another 4
years down the road. Buy L glass and sell that in four yearsa and you
might even get back your entire investment. It's often cheaper to pay
more up front.
