I've got the Sigma 600/8 with EOS mount, and it works just fine with
10D. Auto exposure works as expected in Av mode, even though aperture
shows as "00" and cannot be changed, and Tv behaves just like M,
where only epxosure time can be set.

I've also used some old manual-only lenses with M42-EOS adapter with
10D without problems.
