Thank you all.

I don't want to multiply old glass - I have crates full of it :) I am
familiar with quite few esoteric pieces that go way beyond the most
wildest dreams of Takumarians and creatures from Leica-Centaurus.

So far, sounds simple: L lenses are spectacular, and the rest is like
good old Canon of 30 years ago with even cheaper PC/CAD modelling and
engineering

I will repeat: I was sincerely impressed by Tamron AF 28-75mm f/2.8 XR
Di on it. I shot a few low-key, high-key, "normal" portraits wide open
and it exhibits cinematographic plasticity and surgical precision,
excelent tonal gradient. Unbelivably good working range zoom for under
$400.

It's just my luck lately: last month I got a free 77mm Limited Pentax
with no body, now I have a nearly free Canon body with no lenses. Both
are highly liquid, so it's easy to liquidate at least. And with Canon
one can rent and play with nearly everything.

I am intrigued by the 135mm L lense now :)

Thank you again, Y
