Larry:

Something to consider: The EOS digital bodies are so
good at high ISOs, that you may not need as fast a
lens as you're used to using on film. Unless you
really need the extra DOF, I suspect you'll find the
85 1.8 and 35 2.0 to be fast enough. Unless, that is,
you were already pushing your film to 1600 or faster
and still needed the 1.4 lenses to capture your
images.

The problem with the edges on FF digital is primarily
a wide angle phenomenon. I doubt you'll have any
problems in that respect with either 85.
