Remember, if the helicoid can be removed the lens and helicoid can be
mounted on something else, giving you the ability to manual focus.

Regarding the long lenses with their own focusing heliciods, I now remember them. Unfortunately I dont own
any of those long lenses. 150 mm is my longest for 6x6
