Hi wow ... so now I have to worry about CF makers not adhering to standards too.
shit, reminds me of when I was in india back in 2001 using a Fuji camera that used smartMedia. After a days shooting in a very nice palace, taking some fucking outstanding images of things I got a "card unformatted" error on the display when taking just one more image. That card and camera came soooo close to being pounded into dust with a rock! in contrast I've only ever had one experience with not having film in my camera, and that was with a Oly OM-1 when I was 17 ... of course with my EOS film body, that couldn't happen ... the icon would be flashing at me, and I can see that there's nothing in the body through the plastic window ;-) yes, I love the digital workflow too, but gee, shooting less than 10 rolls of film a year makes $3000 hard to justify for a EOS 5D when scanners get cheaper and better all the time and I mainly do 24mm and 50mm landscapes and architectural based stuff. Digital may have surpassed film, but you've still gotta get it onto paper or monitor which has less stops in its range than either film or digital. sorry to turn this into a digital pro / con thing here ... apologys * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
