Thanks Marc (and indeed everyone who has replied, but what I'm looking for are recommendations for a *new* lens - these are the stipulations: I would prefer something wide - not as wide as the 15mm, but not longer than (say) 50mm. It could be EF, or it might be something else (adaptable). It could be used for street work, or maybe ad hoc groups and parties. It must be fast (2.8 is too slow), and it must have a decent manual focus feel. Most important of all, it must instil confidence - it must give the photographer a real warm feeling when shooting with it, something almost indescribable. You'd know it if you experienced it. So long range zooms are definitely out! I'm really after a prime lens. I've narrowed down to the 24 1.4L and the 35 1.4L, so am thinking of either one of these. Still taking opinion though, so feel free :-) -- Cheers, Cotty ___/\__ || (O) | People, Places, Pastiche ||=====| http://www.cottysnaps.com _____________________________ * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
