I did see that and discarded it immediately as a
marketing gimmick. FWIW, correct me if I am wrong but
the "gain" in IS is a virtual one: it would'nt mean
that you can actually take the same shot using four
stops slower shutter/narrower aperture as metered and
still get the same results if taken with original
metering. 

Still, if it only meant hand holding/panning improves
by about 4 stops, it would be impressive. Were'nt the
second generation IS already offering 3 stop gain but
in a panning mode only ?
