Thanks Peter. I've weighed up the prose (sic) and cons and will go with the 24. I gather edge sharpness wide open is not first rate but the lens will sit on a 1.3 crop sensor - thus giving me an angle of view more like a 35 on a full frame (which is what I want) - and losing the edges in the process. I would use it wide open (else why have a 1.4?) and so this seems a good compromise to me. -- Cheers, Cotty ___/\__ || (O) | People, Places, Pastiche ||=====| http://www.cottysnaps.com _____________________________ * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
