The A570IS uses two AA cells. Not a rechargeable Lithium Ion battery.
You won't have to carry a charger, unless your AA cells are
rechargeable, so you won't need a wall plug. Carry a couple spare AAs
bu if needed, just about anywhere you go in the world you can find AA
cells......
