Re: a new muffler. Be aware that there is a service bulletin out on the mufflers. I replaced on two years ago and found univair, although expensive, was the same prices as everyone else. The new mufflers are welded differently than the old ones which were just straight sections of tubing. I don't have the specifics at my fingertips, but make sure you get the new approved model. And if you think the mufflers are expensive, try buying them in Canadian dollars. It was 600 bucks.
