Bob, I have one of those and I liked it so much I use it as my primary. I think iot's a darn good unit, and I've been thinking of adding fancier display by hooking it up to an iPaq PDA. I do remember that I received a free software update that made it work much better and added a couple of features. You might check the version. Let me know if you need to borrow the data cable. I have a like new Bendix-King Handheld GPS NAV COM that has not been used for about 3 yrs. The database is dated 1996. Took it out of storage and it will not access the GPS system otherwise it works. It was working when put in storage. Is it possible that the outdated database will stop it from accessing the GPS navagation functions. Can't even get the map to com uo using eather the internal or external ant. I get a message " not enough signal for navigation . Any ideas. ????? This is only my backup com radio & GPS but I would like to be able to use it as it was quite expensive when I bought it new in 1966. Iam using a Garmin 196 now as primary GPS which works great. > Bob Bullock > N5621X > Maryland > ========================================================================== == == > To leave this forum go to: http://ercoupers.com/lists.htm > Search the archives on http://escribe.com/aviation/coupers-tech/ > > > > > > ========================================================================== ==== To leave this forum go to: http://ercoupers.com/lists.htm Search the archives on http://escribe.com/aviation/coupers-tech/
