Subject: [COUPERS-TECH] Fuel Pump

----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]----

While replacing fuel pump on '67 A2A, mechanic is surprised to find, the diameter of the orifice in the out-take connector is smaller than the diameter in the in-take connector of the pump. Can someone suggest a reason for this difference in diameters? Is it an anomaly with a purpose? The plane flies OK with this configuration on the pump. However, the mechanic intends to conform both connectors to the larger diameter on the new pump. Any thoughts?
