Yes, as a mater of fact the front one on my cowling
blew away yesterday in flight. The retaining washer apparently let go. I heard
the metal hit the airplane and landed to inspect it. The washer made one scratch
and the fitting a second on the rudder and the front of the cowl pealed back a
bit. Fortunately I was in the pattern and not had already reduced power.
