Richard.
Your fuel system must have been changed to the later style fuel system. All
models from the 415-E on had another overflow line added to the second wing
tank. That line also solves as a vent to the header tank. The cap in the
header tank does have a venting hole while the wing tank caps don't.
If your setup works without any problems, keep it that way because it is
desirable to have the wing tank caps not vented because of the fuel spilling
out of the vents.
If you are lucky, you will be able to find the 337 for it in your planes
documents.
(Get the FAA Data CD for your plane to see all what's on file with the FAA)
If nothing has been filed, you'll have to convince your mechanic that the
fuel system has been converted and the missing 337 needs to be filed.
Or you get yourself a set of wing tank caps with holes.

Hey Gang - My IA is squawking about my wing tank caps being unvented. I know
this subject has been tossed around before but the archives don't really
answer this question. Have I missed a service bulletin or A.D. that requires
a change to vented caps? The parts list shows unvented caps for my 415 C/D
serial # - 4667. Can anybody tell me why some coupes have them and some
don't, and why?
Also, exactly how do the wing tanks vent? It looks like somehow they vent
thru the fuse tank, but I gotta argue this one with him because he wants me
to drill the caps I have, which have been flying unvented a long time. I'm
thinking I've got the right set-up here, but I need to straighten this
fellow out. (and me too) Thanks for any info -
