Hi,
        Does anyone know if a split elevator can be added to a 415-C without converting it to a 415-E.  I would like to add the elevator to reduce my landing speed at my relatively short grass strip. I would like to keep it sport pilot eligible.  I am in Canada but what is acceptable south of the border is usually acceptable in Canada.  If anyone has specific information as to Canadian rules that would be even more of a help.
       Thanks for the advice on the nose gear leak.  I will be back at the aircraft during the week and I will get more specific information so that I can ask more precisely But at least for now I have a better idea what I am looking at.
