Hey Stormin: (I know it is Normin but I couldn't  resist) I recommend that you check the full travel of your trim tab. I suspect it is not getting the travel it should. The trim tab travel range is zero degrees up and 60 degrees down, which assumes your elevator is set for 9 degrees up and 12 degrees down. Also, make certain you have not added anything that moves the CG aft, because this would create an impact on the trim.
If you have the elevator limits improperly set to 13 degrees up and 12 degrees down then the trim tab may have to be adjusted to compensate. (I have seen several D models with the elevator limits set improperly)
When you turn the trim knob all the way out, it should pull the trim tab approximately 60 degrees down. Conversely, when you turn it in, it should push the trim tab to a level position against the trim tab stop. If you check that and find the cable does the job, then you have something else that has changed.
I find that often, the trim wire corrodes slightly which makes it more difficult to push it the full travel. Spraying some penetrating lubricant on the outside of the housing in the area between the elevator and the stabilizer as well as in the stabilizer (You must remove the tail cone and have a strong sprayer to get the area lubricated in the stabilizer) will quite often solve the problem. Also, lubricating the trim tab hinge may help the problem. If the lubrication does not help, you may have to change the wire (and lube it well when you put it in)
