Gravel runways to me are out, period. I have known many who have had
serious damage especially to the tail section and or prop. A gravel runway
is not a safe runway for any aircraft . I would never put an aircraft
through that torture.
Landind crabbed would be asking too much of an Ercoupe on loose stones. Don
t do it , Anyone who would build a runway of {sharp] crushed rock should
have their head examined.
