Bob,

To add onto Ed Burkheads' excellent reply on your post (lot's of
good information there) is to be mindful how deep the turf is. You can bend
the tips of the propeller taxiing through tall grass, deep snow, and
puddles. As Ed said, look for a good spot for run ups. Tall grass is just
one more thing to be mindful of. Survey your taxi path.

Hi All....

I hope I can get some good pointers from the group on this one.

I'd like to attend a fly in in August at a field a couple of hours away from
home plate, problem is it's a gravel field and I don't have any experience
with turf/gravel and need some help with this

Here are the conditions I'll be looking at more or less.

Field-Gravel
Length-3200 x 75
Elevation-2265 ft ASL
Temp-guestimated 20 degrees C
Prop-Cruise-7348
Landing Weight-Approx 1200 lbs.

Any suggestions for landing/to under these conditions would be greatly
appreciated.

Cheers

"Hardware Bob"
