Since you’re going to have to
replace or do major repairs to your elevator anyway, maybe this is the time to
see if you can get your local FAA office to sign off on a form 337 to convert
your elevator to the split variety.
I think that’s a superior design.
Fred Weick thought it was a superior design.
So, if your FSDO can concede that it’s
a smart change, now’s the time to do it.
