I have not put a C-90 in yet, but I have found out from my local FAA inspector that if you reference an installation of a C-90 that was done prior to 1956, you do not need the STC. Apparently the inspectors prior to 1956 were engineers, and when they approved an installation, that approval could be used as engineering data. I do not recall the N numbers, but when I asked the question last year, I was given the N numbers of a couple of C-90 Coupes, and they were modified prior to 1956. I do have the data around here someplace, but I can not remember where I put it, or put my hands on it right now.
I believe the C-90 is the best engine to have in your Coupe.
