There’s some reason to think that
most of the 415-D serial numbers from 4424 through 4500 were never used.
That’s based on registration numbers issued to the factory (some of which
were never used), FAA registrations, and export records.
So, it may well be that few, if any, 415-D
models were converted to being 415-CD.
We’ll probably have to wait till a
definitive book comes out by someone with access to copies of the original
documents for an absolute answer.
