My Lowrance GPS attaches to my windshield via a locking suction-cup device. It fell off the other day,
while inflight. I had a difficult time controlling my Alon while trying to restick it to the windshield. I cannot even imagine trying to close and latch the canopy and maintain a straight and level attitude while inflight.
I agree with Don, keep it closed. I don't enjoy all the wind on my head anyway, especially here in Nebr. this
time of the year!
