Then, if a hose gave out or something, you could still get some braking from the other wheel while using the nosewheel to maintain direction. Again, glad to hear you are okay. A brake failure combined with slick mud and a ditch at the end of a private field in southern Miss., 8 miles south of KHSA claimed my graceful old bird. The mishap occurred 2 days ago. I'm working on all the FAA and NTSB paperwork now. When the nose wheel slipped into the ditch she flipped over on her back on to a paved road. I crawled out, the cuts and scrapes minor compared to the massive damage to N2021H. She'll never fly again.
