That is an interesting point. He did describe filling the cylinder with rope in order to keep the value in place. That sounds like the rope trick to me, or at least what I have read about it. Whether or not the Indian is a flathead or not is probably off topic. I have a friend who has one of the new Indians (before they went out of business again). I can't remember it being a flathead.
