Al,

The A&P instructed me to use TCP in the fuel. He also mentioned
something that could be put in the oil as well. I remember someone
talking about an approved additive for oil to help deal with lead.
Does anyone know what that might be?

doing things correctly and economically. An exchange cylinder, with
piston rings is about $250 so let the guy make a few bucks. When you
do an exchange, you must send the piston and when you o/h a cylinder
it only makes sense to send the piston along. The rope trick is
common knowledge among piston airplane mechanics.

much for the little engine and is causing the valve problems. Think
about TCP or using a 50/50 mix of that foul smelling auto gas from
the pump.
