Greetings group,
My A/P removed my wing tanks (aluminum) as they seem to have bits of
a 'material' inside. Perhaps it's old sloshing fluid residue, perhaps
not. Regardless, is steam cleaning a method to clean the tanks' insides,
or is there a more preferred method?
In regard to my previous question of nose gear strut extension
length, the somewhat sticky strut has now been extended full length.
I've forgotten with whom my A/P spoke with, but he was told the
strut would not extend fully on its own accord.
I measured the extended strut length to be 11 1/4 inches, which
happens to be less than the length of the snubber cable which was
installed!
