Hey Hartmut: I am repeating what my cylinder guy told me. He said that the
original Superior cylinders had a exhaust valve guide (I am sorry, I forget the
name of the material) made of some extra hard stuff. This then created a
problem with exhaust valve leakage (I did not ask him to explain how). He said
that he could use the old valves with bronze guides and fix the problem. He
indicated that people that tried to remove this guide using the old (drive it
out) technology usually cracked or broke the cylinder.
I must admit that I am no expert, but I will get the cylinders back with
a yellow tag and no leaks for less than 150 per cylinder.
