Corrosion Inhibiting Products are actually intended to weep. That's how they
work their way into lap seams and any other areas where 2 surfaces meet. Lap
seams and such are highly susceptible to trapping corrosive moisture. The
weeping or oozing will displace such moisture, then offer a corrosion
inhibiting barrier. If you read up on such products you'll find that they even
boast about the weeping. I will say however, that we don't like or use ACF-50
or Corrosion-X ... which are for the most part, one-in-the-same. We'll only use
T9 Boeshield for internal fogging. A heavy dose of ACF-50 or Corrosion-X will
ooze & weep for 12 to 18 months making a mess of our planes the entire time
that it's active. The T9 Boeshield will do an initial ooze for up to 7 days,
however after that it will form into a wax/gel that continues to offer
protection for 24 months. My company has offered corrosion treatments since
1989. We've worked with all the corrosion inhibiting products in this time,
and find the T9 Boeshield to be the absolute best on the market. It's even a
little less in cost than the others.

There is no weeping if applied correctly. Unfortunately, correctly
means using their kit at about $400.00. The goop is applied as a very fine
mist and clings to the metal. If it's weeping, someone put too much in. If I
were in Florida, I would have it professionally applied or figure out a way to
apply it using some type of high pressure misting apparatus.

Hey Al: I have seen them using nothing ( and the Coupe looked like s----
inside) and primer ( they look pretty good) to Corrosion X (they look great on
the inside, but the "weeps" need cleaning work on the outside). I think the
most important part is how long they have been in Florida and then how long
between treatments. Obviously, inside a hangar is better than outside.
I am currently working on a Coupe that the engine has about 150 hours
since new Superior cylinders, and two of them are off due to leakage. They both
show corrosion on the inside due to lack of running or being turned over
regularly. (plus the exhaust valve/guide problem that Superior had)
