Dan C,

IMPORTANT: I think the N-number you've given, N99357, is the plane
from which the engine presently in my SkySprite (N3437H) came. My
seller, also in the S.D. area, owned both of them at the time (summer
'06). I'd recommend you contact me off-list and we can arrange a
phone chat.

For an inspector in the SoCal area, I used Mike Passwater at El
Monte, and he's now my primary A&P. Mike was the only one I could
find with prior Ercoupe experience who was willing to go to where the
plane was at the time I needed him to. Again, feel free to contact
me off-list.

Advice on someone to do a pre-buy

FYI to the group: I had asked for advice on a plane in Texas (N
99164) which I do appreciate
the feedback on. Unfortunately, the CD from the FAA shows it has a
C75 instead of C85 and
had major damage in 1955 that required replacement of "entire cabin
and wing center
section"...secondary to a "gear related accident".Also the CD records
stop in 1978 and do not
reflect anything since then though owner says it has been active. So
think I will pass on this
plane.

I'm now considering a plane in the San Diego area (N99357 if anyone
is familiar with it) and
adding to my CD collection. Do any of you have suggestions on who
would be good to do a
pre-buy inspection?

Also, if this plane passes inspection I will need someone to fly it
from San Diego to Wichita,
Kansas so be thinking if you want some free flying time.

Thanks,
Dan C
