Eliacim, I am happy for you. I would not question it either. Personally, I believe that the Sport Pilot PTS could be interpreted to mean that slips are not necessary. I believe that SP PTS lists slips "if the aircraft is capable" or something to that effect. That could mean that slips are not required if your "Ercoupe" is not equipped to do slips.
Unfortunately in my case, my DPE didn't share that view and we were not able to get someone with the FAA to draw that same conclusion.
