John

Thank you for directing me to Skyport. After reviewing the Skyport SMK60
information,
I must make a correction to my statement of a Spar Crack. I have exactly what
is shown
in the Skyport photo, but not to the extent shown. The crack is actually in the
End Rib of
the Wing Center Section as shown in the photo.

I am not an aircraft mechanic but I would think a stop hole at the end of the
crack with the
SMK60 reinforcement for the rib would be enough of a repair. I would feel safe
in flying the
Coupe with such a repair. Since the crack has started, maby a little thicker
reinforcement
is all that is needed. I agree with AJ, lets keep creative repairs within our
group as long as
FAA will bless them.

Al

SMK60 is a reinforcement for the rib. I don't believe that it is a fix for a
cracked rib - only a reinforcement to prevent such crack. The crack is in
Glenn's spar cap and that is the crack that I think Univair should address
  a fix for.
