When I purchased my 415-C years ago I found the attitude ind. inop. Taking it out to have it repaired I discovered it hooked up backwards! A lot of the old military type instruments were designed to run on air PRESSURE or VACUUM. The pressure port was marked "air inlet" so apparently this is where some "installer" put the vacuum line. So therefore the gyro was trying to run in reverse. Air Inlet is were the static air ENTERS! After reversing the hoses the old gyro worked fine. But as pointed out you MUST have a regulator or else the gyro(s) will not run at the proper speed. T&B only needs 2.5 inHg. if memory serves me. Craig 9772M
