Maybe it is just a weak spring on that oil pressure relief valve.
 
The engine still under 1000 hours, strong running, not overheating should not 
have such problems.

Craig,
After verifying that the gauges are correct, you might take a look at the oil 
pressure relief valve.  Could have a bad seat that really manifests itself when 
the oil is hot.
