So, it probably wasn't the jeep in which Fred had the near catastrophe experience, then. It must have been a production plane. Perhaps the one Fred regularly flew. I seem to recall him saying that they discontinued the automatic carb heat as a result of that incident. Thanks for the correction. Ed
