The leaking header tank problem is interesting. I am working on a Coupe
project and put about 4 gallons in the header tank for runup testing. I have
no leaks of any kind anywhere and after a couple weeks the tank was dry. I
just attributed it to evaporation as I saw no evidence of any leaking at all.
the fuel valve on the header tank was off during this time. I always turn it
off and my check list has an item on it to check and ensure it and the wing
tank one is in the on position before start.
