It may not look "cool" but I'm guessing an excellent place for a straight
wire antenna would be on the front bow between the windshield and the
sliding windows.

The rear bow would also be excellent but you'd have to run a lot more
antenna cable.  Perhaps a bent or sloped antenna would be better here but
I'd think the range would be double or triple as far to the rear as to the
front.

Neither would work if you have a hangar with a low entry.

This is just my opinion in terms of function.  Any antenna experts or
experienced amateur radio people out there have opinions?  Any suggestions
about ground plane for these locations?  Maybe the lack of ground plane
metal might make the location not work like I would think.
