Wow! That's a significant statement. Many Ercoupes sold as upgraded 
model D are still model C in the FAA database. Some of them have even 
had the dataplate changed, but not the AC.

May I ask who wrote the letter from the FAA? I've been told that 2 
inspectors from the same FSBO may disagree on some issue.
