Jack, Metalized wings do not disqualify a C or CD from LSA. There is an STC to put an 0200 into a C85 engine which gives you near 100 hp. This too does not disqualify the C or CD from LSA.
Others will give you more detail for sure, but these modifications to the original Type Certificate do not disqualify the Ercoupe models from LSA.
